This is a great place to stay where you can watch the cruise ship and rockets launch all in one day! Skylar at the front desk is the greatest! You made the entire trip awesome.

Only good for access to cruise departures

Condition of the property was poor...outside hallways, rooms, overall facility. Staffing levels at front desk, restaurant, and bars were inadequate. Very limited management presence. Kids may like it here, but frequent IHG travelers will be very disappointed.

I’m a silver elite member so I was offered free late checkout and the last day of our stay we were at the pool and housekeeping was in our room left our door open. Then housekeeping comes back and bangs on the door wakes our newborn up so my husband asks if he needs something this man is saying we don’t have late checkout. We ask the front desk what’s going on they said it was a mistake in the system and that we won’t be bothered again well surprise we have someone else from housekeeping coming back to clean our room. We received no apologies for the mistakes the front desk was very unprofessional and mind you this was offered to us for being loyal members i wish I didn’t even accept this offer because we felt harassed to leave employees were so rude I’ve never felt so unwelcome. It’s a shame because the pools are nice that’s about the only positive thing I can say for this place. Also when checking in you have to go to two seperate desks because they want to sell you on stuff to become owners etc it’s very annoying especially after saying no thank you they continue to pressure you it’s very frustrating. The gates to get into the pools also did not work except for one single gate.

Anniversary weekend away

Did not know that this resort is located in a retirement community and the restaurants and bar close at 9pm. This hotel is not a resort and is not very friendly. All the servers want is their 18% gratuity that is automatically added to the check. The guest room was not inviting. It was dark and did not have a window. We were not impressed with this hotel and will not return.

Beautiful and convenient property

We stayed here the first week of May to attend my father‘s wedding at the neighboring park. The location and view are phenomenal. The room was beautiful and clean/well equipped. Though if you need any extras or clean sheets/towels, pool towels, etc. you will have to venture to the front desk yourself to trade these out, which is pretty inconvenient. Overall, for the price, I thought the amenities should be a little more generous. The front desk staff was very pushy and seemingly uncaring. I’ve stayed at many many holiday inns and feel like they have declined overall with time. I would stay at this property again, but only because it is accommodating for my family size, and because of the location.

Stay was ok

Spacious villas, great pool area for kids. Walking distance to beach (half mile). Out of all the staff there, I encountered only 2 friendly employees. No hot water during an entire day of our stay and were offered zero compensation, not even a free drink. Rooms didn’t have the cleanest floors.

Friends Holiday

Our experience at this resort was perfect. It started off with Nina at the front desk, who was so helpful. You’re definitely lucky to have an employee like her and then of course we didn’t have to drive since they have a service that picks you up right in front of your door and I believe his name was Josh and he was really pleasant

Great amenities

Resort is good. Some areas are in need of maintenance. Water resort is the best. Bed was not comfortable more on the firm side. Room overall was ok. Couch was horrible. Noise level outside was horrible and the room door allowed every noise inside. Restaurants were good for breakfast. Food was good at pool too. Cabana rental was nice and included nice perks. Pool staff were excellent. Shuttle tram driver was very nice too. Check in staff was not welcoming. Location was great.

Never Again

I wouldn't recommend staying at the Holiday Inn Vacation Club, The place is old and smells like Mold. There's nothing in the area to walk to, You're stuck with the restaurant on property or uber. Plenty of other hotels with in walking distance of restaurants and stores. And I don't like being pushed over to an area to try and sell me TimeShare. Nothing worse than listening to someone lie about the benefits of something everyone with common sense knows is a scam.

Will not stay here again.

Check in was atrocious. Room wasn’t ready until after 5pm. They also spent 30min trying to talk me into a time share presentation while I just wanted to check in. Check out is pretty early at 10am and despite not giving us our room until over an hour past check-in time, they would not give us a “late” check out of 11am. Front desk staff was not pleasant at all to deal with when we had problems and were pretty rude to my wife. Now for the positives. The room was very nice (2bed/2bath) and appeared newly renovated. We were in the building right next to the beach with convenient shuttles to the main hotel with the pool, restaurant, theater etc. The pool area was very nice and the pool staff was friendly. We stayed for a few days before a family cruise and the uber ride was easy and inexpensive, but they don’t offer a shuttle like some other hotels. I think for a longer beach vacation, this could be a nice option, but we definitely won’t be staying again after how bad our check in went and how poor our interactions went with the front desk.
