Our room was great, but we had issues with staff
We enjoyed the villas, but the customer service could have been better. We were told at check in that we were required to schedule a timeshare tour, so we did. I later called and asked and they said it wasn't required, but I couldn't cancel because I already scheduled a tour. When speaking with the rep that we checked in with she said "I didn't mean that it was mandatory, just that it was required because of how great it is." My son also sliced his arm open on a broken piece of a water feature at one of the pools and the staff didn't seem to care at all. He had to receive medical attention and butterfly bandages to prevent the need for stitches, but he'll always have a scar because the pool area wasn't properly maintained.

Horrible timeshare experience
I enjoyed the various activities available, the numerous pools, and atmosphere. I didn't like how when you check in they escort you over to a timeshare station as if it's a part of the check in process and then sign you up with all these promises that they don't want to honor in the end. They claim you will only have to do a 90 minute presentation that end s up being over 3 or 4 hours and won't take NO for an answer. You are held hostage almost and have waisted a whole day of your vacation. I had to speak with several supervisors to get what was promised to me for doing the presentation. I haven't been to Orange Lake in about 12 or more years and this experience has left a very bad taste in my mouth. It may be 12 or more years before I return. I am very disappointed in the lack of customer service and support I received around this timeshare experience it left a very dark stain on my vacation there.

Vacation stay
I stayed here for a family vacation. The stay was an okay experience. Pros- There are many locations within this resort that offer many pools, slides, restaurants, arcades, and activities. When the resort did do activities they were a lot of fun for everyone. They have a shuttle that can take you to different locations which was nice. Even though check in is 4 you can arrive early to use the resort. We were there for the 4th of July the fireworks were good. Cons- when you check in they start in with trying to get you to go on a tour for purchasing a time share. They even called our villa daily to get us to do the tour. This resort is very busy there are a lot of people everywhere so it can be difficult to find a spot to post up for the day at one of the villages. The pools were so chlorinated they ruined three of our swimsuits. The foam party was great fun, but the foam gave one of my kids a chemical burn on their face. The 4th was so packed we could barely walk or use anything. The gates seemed to be open all the time and let most anyone in. The drink prices were very high compared to other resorts we have been to. I tried to use the jet bath tub in our villa it stated spraying water everywhere and sprayed mold out of it. Most things cost extra like if you want an inner tub for the lazy river. Late check out costs $50 an hour. Overall it wasn’t a great stay we won’t be back.

Very upset and disappointed
We arrived at 2:40pm after a two hour ride in the car. We did not get into the room until 410.Pm. We are IHG members diamond Elite one thing we discovered our refrigerator wasn’t keeping food cool we called and it was six hours until we got a new one which turned out to be almost 1130 at night. We tried to get our computer hooked up to the TV to watch movies and when the guy came in, he said he doesn’t have the cable and you have to go out and buy one and do it yourself the pool lounges and tables around the lazy river pool were all rusted old and dirty . We spent $150 for pizza and wings and it was really really bad at paisen pizza. One morning I bought six coffees and three hot chocolates and it cost me almost $100. We went to work out at the gym at the registration center. We asked somebody how to get there. They said you take the elevated downstairs they did not tell us that we would have to walk outside the building all the way around to the back entrance because of the construction several times we ask people for help and nobody seem to know how to help us. well, we went for the 90 minute tour to see if we would like to purchase a timeshare. We told the salesman we really weren’t ready to make a decision but if you would give us his card, we call him back he said forget about it now you pay full price and then he brought a closure with him and that gentleman got upset when we didn’t buy, and then they sent this to another person and he wanted to give us a six day seven night day for $1500 down the road and we told him that we already paid for something in October, he got upset. Everyone got upset at us made us feel very, very bad if it wasn’t for family I don’t think we would’ve stayed there. We went to a different place.
No, I do not recommend this property.

Don't take the Vacation Club Sales "Tour"
The "90 minute tour" was over 180 minutes. I felt we were trapped and could not get out. The numbers given for the club were written upside down in cursive. No actual terms and conditions were given. Don't walk away, RUN!
Yes, I recommend this property.

Room stuck of cigarettes
Our room smelled like stale cigarette smoke. They did offer to change the room but we had already unpacked and then notified the front desk. They sent a woman from facilities or housekeeping with a bottle of probably Fabreeze and thought that would be enough. It got worse and I am still waiting for someone to call me back. Meantime, I've had to wash and spray down everything that we took in that room. We were also told we would be close to family at the resort and it was a short walk. Not even close and the walk is 10-15 minutes between "villages". Just not what we thought it would be. Buyer beware and check the room before you unpack.

Economy Accommodations at High Prices
We were invited by our kids that had been “lured” by a time-share offer. “Stay for the presentation in exchange for great deal on a fun vacation”. We couldn’t all fit in the villa so we rented a room for my husband and I for 2 nights. Of course when we checked in we were directed to a sales pitch pro who tried to convince us to attend the next day’s seminar for a free hotel stay. We had absolutely no interest and made that very clear. Her attitude changed immediately and we were treated as 2nd class citizens. We were never greeted as we walked in or out and when I asked why our $220/night didn’t include housekeeping we were answered, “I have no idea!” And the clerk walked away! Our room was old but adequate. Not dirty but not squeaky clean. The hallway carpets were disgusting & the smell was nauseating. Had it not been for our kids staying there, we would have walked away. The only positive was the bed (which we immediately checked for bedbugs & it cleared), was very comfortable. However, it was very noisy - lots of kids running in and out of rooms and banging doors. The water in the large pool is hazy and full of very long, disgusting pieces of weave wigs. You walk out of the pool with long strands of weave hair wrapped around you. Disgusting. As for the Lazy Pool, we had forgotten our towels and spent almost 45 minutes looking for some. We eventually found a “guest host” walking around and she located some for us. There should be towel stations on the premises but there are not so don’t forget your towels in your room! I would NEVER recommend this hotel. It is geared towards low income families that are searching out deals for cheap vacations. Stay away!
No, I do not recommend this property.
Higher Expectations
Not What It Used To Be!
I had trouble getting to the actual facility when I tried to book an additional room, then after being told we could be in the same village were told that was not possible. The rooms are getting tired, the furniture is worn. There was debris for days that was not picked up. Noise at night was disturbing. This was our second visit in 6 years - and our last.
