Beautiful property with much to do for families.
This property has been around for a long time and it was nice to finally get to enjoy it. The property is undergoing renovations at the time of our stay, but our unit was not renovated. Some staff are friendly, some more unpleasant. The grounds were beautiful and it was nice to enjoy one of the many pools they have. You do have to pay extra for the tubes though. There are many restaurants on site and many more off site in the area. I would definitely recommend having your own transportation as the resort is very large and guests waiting for HI transportation seem to wait a while.

Great for families.
We got the two bedroom villa for a family of 7 (2 adults, 5 kids). It was exceptionally clean, had all the basics we needed. Everyone fit comfortably, the size of the villa really made it an enjoyable experience not being right on top of each other. All of the pools and amenities right on site were great, we hardly had to leave the complex, at least not for fun or entertainment. Having restaurants and bars at the pools was so nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful. This is the perfect place for family getaways.

Orange lake is genuinely our favorite place to stay. We love this hotel. As Floridians we've stayed in a lot of places when we visit Orlando, This resort is our favorite! We have a lot of family that fly in when we come to visit. There's always shuttles running, you can rent a golf cart if you want a little more time? Flexibility without renting a car, if you want to leave for sometime you're directly beside a whole world of options. While you're only a short drive away from every major theme park, That's not really a selling factor for us anymore because, orange lake is its own water park, so much for the kids to do slides, floating the lazy river, Putt-Putt, real golf for my husband, a million chairs for tanning and umbrellas for a uv break, staff walking around to take your orders, always someone ready to help. You can rent cabanas for the entire day, gated entry and exit not only at every pool but at the resort entrances and exits as well. An incredibly safe place to bring the kids. Money well spent! Excited to go back again in the fall!

When i was reading the reviews after booking but right before cancelation period I almost did cancel BUT it was for my Birthday and I am so glad I didn't cancel because it was 11 of us and this resort was amazing. We enjoyed the lazy river, it was a bit dirty but that was expected because it was raining earlier. That day and the lazy river has some areas that have moch near it. We definitely enjoyed the pool and the west village. It was very big, i like the walking feature where there is no stairs you literally walk in, there was plenty of seating and a restaurant/bar on-site which came in handy as we got hungry. We enjoyed the amenities the resort had, the market place was expensive though. The villa was clean and beautiful, it was roomy and came with everything we needed.

Room service does not clean or give you clean towels there are free washers and dryers but always in use. It is a timeshare community so be expected to be pushed to do their tour and pushed into buying into no matter how many times you say no.

August maybe busy season but does not give them excuse to not have the room fully ready and when i asked them for towels they said because they are fully booked they cannot get it to me soon. The towels should have been in the room to start with and if the guest ask for it because it was not there they should have brought it right away. Also the trash bin outside was so full I couldnt take the trash out. Maybe because I complained but when I asked for late check out when I heard the a guest next to me granted 12pm check out they offer me 11am check out. Being a platinum member does not get you anything at this place.
