Owners Will Not Book Additional Units Anymore
Three hours on the phone to book an additional suite (we are owners) Only for that suite to be two buildings away from the unit we own and requested it be close to - will not book with Orange Lake again. If half my family is going to be two buildings away, they might as well be at another resort altogether. And next time, they will be.

The same poor service and rooms as before
The hotel failed to provide any IHG Diamond Elite benefits without customer having to beg for them. A Diamond Elite guest not being assigned a room in the oldest building in the resort in an area that is undergoing construction with over half of the parking spots taken up by shipping containers should be a given. It appears that guests that book though IHG and are not owners are given the worst rooms. Staff should inspect the rooms and take care of maintenance issues before the guest arrives and occupies the room. It should not be the guest's job to report 10 items that are broken or missing in the room. The sheer curtain was missing in our living room, bathroom light did not work, entryway light was burned out, dishwasher did not clean 3 plates and utensils after double washes, carpet was dirty and stained, remote control for bedroom TV did not work. Outlets were worn out and chargers fell out when plugged in, fan could not be shut off on AC, it ran 24/7. Icemaker did not work. Room location was terrible, right next busy toll road and highway. Zero soundproofing and 30 year old single pane windows make it seem like you are sleeping on the road. Screened outside sitting area reeked like cigarette smoke. No room upgrade was offered. TV's were ridiculously tiny. The landscaping looks terrible and has nothing appears to being done to recover from the cold weather and clean up for spring. The water level in pool and hot tubs was too low so that skimmers were unable to trap leaves and debris. The manager that was supposed to be contacting us during our stay did not do so.

WILL NOT RETURN
My husband and I spent three nights here. Totally disappointed in all aspects. Room, cleanliness, lazy, river… We didn’t even get in the water, food quality in restaurants and cleanliness, on and on. We have been too many times share spiels before. But not like this one! The sales person had incorrect info on the timeshare, and value, that we have owned for many years. He refused to correct the information. Once we started asking questions, his attitude changed big time! It was ugly and embarrassing! Upon us leaving, he asked us to not talk bad about the resort. Ha! When we were packing up to leave on day three, there were large bags of linens, already put outside our door for the maids. A little pushy! When we got home, I immediately realized I left three personal items in the dishwasher. I immediately contacted the resort, they sent me a link to fill out for Lost and Found, which I did and attached pictures of the three items. I would contact them again to get an update and they would say it was either too soon to find out if my items are still there, or tell me I am the supervisor I will check into it and call you back, excuse after excuse. I made contact many times in a six week period. The last call I made I told them it was not rocket science, clearly my three items were put in the cabinet, which do not come anywhere near matching the Fiesta ware in the unit, or someone whoever cleaned the room, has sticky fingers, and they need to find out by looking on the schedule who cleaned that unit. They agreed. To this day many, many months later, they have not even tried to contact me. We will, of course, never go back to this resort, and we will strongly recommend that no one else does that we know.

Talked the place up for what we actually got.
We always love coming here but we walked into our room and it smelt awful. We loved what we had last year and talked family into coming with us this year because of our experience last year so we stayed in it because we had family that would be checking in and we all wanted to stay close together. It smelt like mold/mildew and everything was falling apart and there were stains and blinds ripped off and just left. We ended up checking in early because of weather in our area so we came in early. We came in on the Latitude package this year and were expecting a great room as they would want us to buy a piece of their property and they put us in a dated room that smelt and was falling apart. We were also told our second tour would only be an hour if that by multiple people and then when we checked in was told it would be 90 minutes and it was at least 2 hours. It was awful and a total waste of time and I was annoyed by the whole situation especially if they wanted us to buy they would have put us in a better room. Our family however was out in a room right on the golf course and was newly renovated and beautiful and it was their first time being here. We were glad they had a great experience we just wish it was our experience as well. We always love coming here we just wish our experience was better for what we paid.

Great staff but poor room location and maintenance
I stayed in the main check-in building. While the staff was exceptional and very helpful, my overall experience was impacted by the room's location. Being right next to the hallway entrance meant constant noise. The entrance door lacks a soft-close mechanism and slams loudly every time someone passes, which made it impossible to rest quietly at night. Additionally, the Lazy River was not functioning as intended (no current) and tubes were being removed by staff, which was disappointing as it's the resort's main draw.

Our favorite resort in Orlando/Kissimmee area
Two words: lazy river. Staff, drinks, ect are all good, but you can find that at many resorts. For my family, it's the lazy river that sets it apart. Also, their security is excellent. Nobody creating havock, no worry about druggies hanging around.

Worst stay in 10 years ! Not accommodating at all they didn’t care to even try even after two hours spent in check in between two of us! Booked in November asked to have rooms together that’s the point of traveling together they spread us out !!!!

Perfect Place to Stay - Holiday Inn At Orange Lake
The resort was beautiful and had many options available for food, entertainment, activities and beach. The staff were exceptional. Wish I could have stayed longer.
