Poolside Paradise & Perfect Vibes at Orange Lake

Had such an amazing stay at Orange Lake Resort—definitely one for the books! ️ From the moment we arrived, everything was smooth and welcoming. Huge shoutout to Elise at check-in—she made the process quick, easy, and set the tone for a great stay right from the start! The rooms were super clean, smelled fresh, and you can really tell they’ve been recently remodeled—modern, comfortable, and perfect for relaxing after a full day in the sun. Now let’s talk about the pool scene… because WOW. River Island is where it’s at! We rented a cabana, and while it might have cost us a small fortune (pretty sure I left a kidney behind ), it was totally worth it for the comfort, shade, and vibes. Zero regrets… okay maybe just a tiny one when I saw my bank account And Amber at the main pool bar—she was EVERYTHING! Fun, friendly, and made the best drinks. Her energy just added to the whole experience and kept the good vibes going all day long. We also checked out the Legends Golf Course, and it did not disappoint! The course was beautiful and well-kept, and Kevin in the pro shop was awesome—super fun, welcoming, and made the whole experience even better. Between the great service, beautiful grounds, awesome pools, golf, and updated rooms, this place is a must-stay. Already thinking about our next trip back!

great family place

great place for the family to vacation! Very close to all attractions and the kids love the pools.

Best resort I have ever stayed at!!!!!

The Holiday Inn resort at Orange Lake in Orlando is one of the best resorts I’ve ever stayed at. The condo was a two bedroom absolutely beautiful and the lazy river and the pool area were over the top. The staff were friendly. The property was very clean and the landscaping was beautifulwe had so much fun would definitely stay there again. The only bad thing was we are Canadian and the exchange rate was awful of 37% when we went, but I will definitely be back.

Great Birthday

We had a great time. The kids enjoyed the water activities, Basketball , Volleyball and how close everything was to walk or ride to.

Not your normal Hotel

Not for normal Hotel Guests. We had questions at the reception about restaurant reservations (group of 7 people) they could not help us. Before getting the room key we were guided to the desk who tried to sell us, not sure what, in the end we had to interrupt and ask for our keys. No cleaning the rooms at all. Lobby had not one chair to sit on.

Another Wonderful Stay

We are NEVER disappointed when staying at Orange Lake. We have stayed multiple times per year for the past fifteen or so years. They keep this resort CLEAN. The rooms are all spacious and comfortable with the "feel" of home! Even when this resort is at or near capacity, it is so well spread out, that it still doesn't feel crowded and there's always something fun to do! With our busy day to day lives, we look forward to relaxing on our vacations and there is no better place to do that than floating on the long lazy river at River Island. We have stayed at many other resorts in the central Florida area over the years only to find ourselves longing for the the amenities and feel of Orange Lake. Do yourself a favor and just book it!!!

Not up to par and worst decision I made to book.

Updated rooms that don’t smell. Use happy, positive people on the front counter as the woman that assisted me in getting my room changed the second time due to poor conditions and a dirty room had a horrible attitude and made it known she wasn’t in a good mood. Add more seating around the pools as it was a challenge finding seating when the resort is busy. Had to try other pool locations because the pool where we stayed was beyond capacity. Ensure all venues are open and available. If one must shut then have an alternate venue added or maybe add food trucks for guest to use. Forcing guest to migrate thru a sales pitch should be optional. There’s no reason to say you need to activate your keys with the ownership sales people. It seems dishonest. Make it an option to talk to them for the perks. Add the ability to stream or cast our phones to the in-room televisions. Give me us the ability to watch YouTube, Paramount+, and other platforms from our device would be nice.

Worth the upgrade

We had an overall excellent stay. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, and having a full kitchen along with a washer and dryer made a big difference. The unit was mostly quiet, and while it would be nice to have streaming available on the TV, the cable worked just fine. The couch was large and comfortable, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches like a couple of dishwasher pods and laundry soap being provided. It’s definitely a large step above a conventional hotel. The resort itself offers great amenities—pools, golf, pickleball, tennis, restaurants, and bars. If you’re lucky, you can even catch a view of the Disney fireworks, which was a fun bonus. That said, the quality of some of the craftsmanship could be improved. There were noticeable gaps in the flooring that made it noisy, a few spots where paint was missing, a crooked towel bar, and a dishwasher that felt quite flimsy. It would also be helpful to have more places to hang wet towels and swimwear. Overall, though, we really enjoyed our visit and would consider staying again.
