Great experience

The resort was pleasant. The ambiance was fantastic. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the rooms were spacious and quiet.

Relaxing weekend getaway

This was our first visit and will not be our last. Everything we encountered was clean and efficient. No need to leave the premises with plenty of places to dine, a lazy river, several pools, several golf courses, 2 putt putt courses and I heard them playing bingo in one area. The place is spread out vastly but we had no trouble parking as we moved around. They do have golf carts for rent but they need to be reserved, all were taken when we inquired about renting one. Very much enjoyed our visit.

Getaway time

Overall stay was excellent. Bed a little to firm for me but our room was ckean and spacious. Everything is on the property and easy to get to. Definitely returning and highly recommend to friends

very disappointed

upon checking in my room keys were not activated until you went over to the time share desk where the sales guys was very rude and pushy, basically trying to tell me had to do there tour and if I did I was being ungrateful, and almost refusing to active my keys until i signed up. Not taking into consideration I had been traveling all day with my children one of which is special needs and I really just needed to get into my room and get my kids settled. I reserve a one bedroom and was given a studio. our room spelled like mold. It was a 6 night stay and our room was never once cleaned, When we would call for fresh towels it took hours for them to come. The one time I didn't even get the towels I requested. I would but garbage in the hallway in the morning and it sat out there all day and night. The ice machine was not working. we never got the green wristband to be able to charge to our room or use as our room keys. This was the third time we styed here, the first two times we really enjoyed it but this last time was not good. Also I have called the twice to have my receipt sent to me and that still has not happen.

Arrival Staff

Come to find out I made the reservation for the wrong day. I went online and was able to book for the correct day of which I had just arrived for with my wife,Grand Daughter and her husband and our 3 year old great granddaughter. When I went back in to check in the wonderful person at the IHG Members check in noticed me and brought me back to guest services and made sure I was taken very good care of.

Annoying sales

From the moment I checked in I was heavily bombed with selling me.I found that to be way too aggressive and I didn't appreciate it at all.To make things worst,after I didn't purchase anything the lady was selling.They decided to call my room the next day and try to sell me again on the phone. Unfortunately I found that to be unprofessional and rude,not to mention annoying. I will not return to this property, nor will I recommend it to anyone.

Do not stay here

Too many things to mention but here are a few! Upon check in they proceeded to let me know that I wasn’t checked into River Islands newest upgraded rooms(which I requested over the phone and they said not a problem) and then said that they would, but charged me an additional $85 per night…kind of a scam. Then the room was not clean very well…dirty floors, counter tops, etc…I wiped everything down and the wipes were totally dirty! Then the next night we had a huge group of people partying on our floor…I called security 2 times and they still proceeded to party until 2:30am… if that wasn’t enough, they started construction under our room the next morning…woke up our infant sleep. Tried to get a refund for one of the nights and they totally refused to help in any way. And here’s the kicker…needed a late check out…but I had to argue over text with a manager…finally they said 12 pm…there’s so many more details…but just overall, I’ll never stay at this place again…how they sell time shares to people is beyond me…

Relaxing!

We had a great stay! Room was nice. Rented a golf cart which was very helpful. Gilbert (I believe that was his name) was great at check in. Bartenders at Windward were excellent. Trying to use my food and beverage credits was time consuming and I got different answers each time I called to try and figure out how to apply them to my room. Brianna the manager got that straightened out. Wish there were ice machines in each village.

Poor Customer Service

Very poor Customer Service from check in, through check out. No Bedding for Sleeper Sofa they know we needed based on number of guests, had to wait till 2 am to have the bedding delivered. Room wasn't ready till after 6:30 pm on check in day, and check out time is 10 am on check out day. No one there cares about the lack of service. Didn't have towels for the pool, as there are no towels at the pool and we had no room available, to get towels. Kids were cold and wet and no one cares.
