Nice Resort, Timeshare Sales Pushy

Stayed in 2 bedroom single level unit. Was clean and plenty of towels. Beds were comfortable. Resort amenities were amazing and restaurants were adequate and overpriced per typical for any Resort. Tub in master was tiny. I'm 5'6, size 10 and could barely use it, not for length, but width. And the water pressure was terrible in the shower. Didn't complain about that though, so uncertain on fix. They also told us we could see Disney fireworks (you cant) and at 9pm (it's 10pm) so our kiddos had a rough night for no reason. And the only terrible thing was their timeshare presentation. They said 90 minutes. Absconded us for 150 minutes. And then they don't golf cart you back, but make you wait on a shuttle. We were an hour late meeting family because of this. Then we had ro hound them for the promised "gift." Which, if they promise you a 7 night stay, just know that it's a RCI certificate that you can only book 90 days out, some resorts free, some an additional stay. If you can do short duration planning, it's a good deal, if not, avoid. It's also a little far of a drive for Universal with the Orlando traffic.

Excellent vacation near Disney

We were meeting family at Epcot, but did not want to stay on Disney property. Orange Lake provides an excellent option for easy access. We rented a 1 bedroom that worked out very well for us. The kitchenette allowed us to have breakfast comfortably in our room. The lodging also allowed us to have our granddaughters stay the night so parents could go on a date. The restaurant right by the pool in West Village gave easy access to swimming after dinner as well as watching Elf on the big screen. Plenty of options for all age groups are available at the resort.

Book directly through the hotel themselves.do not go through IHG

Beautiful resort, but I would definitely not ever book with IHG ever again. I was overcharged and forced to do a Timeshare .ugh The man was extremely rude . 90 minutes turned into 2 1/2 hours than we had to move rooms in the middle of our stay . When I distinctly said I wanted to stay in the same room when I added on two extra nights, I got charged twice for resort fees charged a an additional $450 plus resort fees. I’ve been calling customer service nonstop for a week and keep getting transferred and then hung up on when I try to address this issue again the resort is absolutely gorgeous. The ground are beautiful. The rooms were very nice, but IHG lied to me when I made my booking.

Overall best experience!

While staying at The Orange Lake Resort in Orlando. We had the best experience, from being greeted and welcomed back as an IHG Rewards Club Member, to the excellent customer service we got. Everything was fun fast and friendly. We went to our room which was amazing! The pool and restaurants had great service! Thank you so much! I definitely recommend and will be back 100%.

Be prepared for ABUSIVE sales tactics

Our room was shabby and in disrepair. The sales team is unscrupulous and abusive. They are so bad ethics violations are being filed with Florida Consumer Protection, FL Board of Licenses, FL Board of Realtors, BBB Reviews will be left on every available website so others are not duped into this trap. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. We explained a family home is being built not far away for retirement. We repeatedly stated we had absolutely no interest in time share. Yet they continued persisting we buy in. Along with the first sales person who would not respect our decision. We were introduced to sales managers who also refused to take no for an answer. We asked to be returned to our vehicle miles away and got told to find out own way back. Stranded because of not being interested in this slum. We were also supposed to receive a $400 room credit for sitting through a 90 minute presentation. After THREE and a HALF HOURS we were being held hostage and never received the credit.

Roomy and Comfortable

Beautiful space, lots of room. Very comfortable Wishing I had a longer visit so that I could have enjoyed the amenities because they sound amazing! Super close to Disney, shopping and restaurants.

Comfortable everything!

Everything was great! The place was clean and spacious and my family really enjoyed the eminities. It was too cold some nights for the hot tub, but we enjoyed the lazy river and pool when we could get in.

Convent location, great customer care

Location is great, love the care from staff from the top to the bottom. Cleaning crew very considerate and thoughtful. Would be happy to recommend this location to friends and family. Would love to stay again when we have more time to enjoy the vast variety of activities and experiences that this location has to offer

Great Value in the area

Just as advertised. Rooms were clean and amenities on property were a plus. Close to all main attractions . 15 min to Disney parks. Would definitely stay here again on the next trip.

Wonderful Stay for families

Orange Lake Resort is a fantastic destination for families, offering a wide variety of activities across its different villages. River Island is definitely the top spot to stay, especially with its convenient access to the water park. However, I do think there’s room for improvement when it comes to lifeguard training. During my stay, there was an incident where my little cousin nearly drowned because the lifeguards weren’t paying attention. That was concerning. Aside from that, the resort is great, with easy access to Disney, several restaurants, and even a nearby Target for any essentials. I would definitely stay here again!
