Wonderful staff and location!
This was our first trip to Gatlinburg and we had a FUNtastic time. We stayed 5 nights, beginning on August 24. Amanda checked us in and was very pleasant and provided great customer service. The villa I reserved was wonderful. I requested a room facing the mountains and we were pleasantly surprised that we were accommodated. The swimming areas are great and the variety of children activities were great. My daughter fell in love with Petrie (bird). Then there was Melissa who was over activities. She was very warm, welcoming and accommodating. The only downside is when we checked-in they sent us over to the concierge to pick up our parking pass. The guy was very pushy, and seemed offended that I didn't want to sign up right at that moment. After driving for 10 hours, we just wanted to relax, look around and then make our decision. The location to downtown was great. I would highly recommend this facility. Petrie- Ashlyn says hello!

Comfortable room but lousy internet connection
We loved the comfort of the suite and the view from our balcony was beautiful. We appreciated the short distance to downtown as it was a pleasant walk. Our only complaint was the really bad internet connection we had the entire time we were staying there. We finally just gave up trying to use it.

Memorable in a bad way
When checking into this facility everything seemed ok. However when in the room there was something caused alergic reactions to everyone in our party.
No, I do not recommend this property.

Beautiful room but needs better CSR
The room in itself is a 5 star rating; however, it was the lack of CSR that made this stay uncomfortable. The family was unable to enjoy the whirlpool in the room because the lines had not been cleaned out properly. What appeared as soap scum buildup, had been released in the water during turning on the jets. Since it was considered as "after hours," we were unable to get it cleaned out and enjoy this amenity. However, the staff on the following day was very helpful and apologetic with the situation. I would recommend that all staff, including the security, know how to get in contact with management during a situation. With only given a day to stay in the room, it was disappointing to not be able to enjoy the amenity of the whirlpool in the room. My family and I did enjoy the fully furnished kitchen, and this made up for everything. I was able to cook a wonderful meal that evening, and the family was able to sit down together at the dinner table.
Yes, I recommend this property.

Very noisey.
The room was ok., but the noise level ruined our stay. We wanted to have a nice and quiet vacation but the room was very noisey. You could hear every door open and close. People walking above you. On movie night it was so loud I had to take a sleeping pill to get to sleep. I would not recommend this hotel if you want a nice quiet vacation.

Great family rest after busy days
The room was spacious and comfortable. We spent the days hiking, rested at the hotel and went back out in town for the night with the family. Able to walk to town, walk to nearby park and run to some of the trails in the mountains. The kitchen was adequate to prepare some meals to help prevent going out to eat for every meal. Definitely recommend to others for a family vacation.

Overall Good Experience
One of our main concerns is that the cabinets are made for someone that's 7 feet tall or more. My daughter's and I, who are 5"5' - 5"7', couldn't reach anything in the cabinet without counter help. They even had dishes on the top shelf. It was a strange experience for us. The pool and hot tub water burned our eyes and nose. Have no idea what they use in the water, but there was a sign that stated the water was maintained by the city. Lastly, we didn't find out about the supplied pool towels until the night before we were to leave. When I started to wash our clothes, there was a note stating those were our pool towels on the washer. I thought they should have been in a more visible location instead of behind closed doors. I'm not thinking about washing clothes when I first get to an establishment. Our overall mountain experience was a great one though. The view was magnificent as we watched the sun rise over ice capped mountains. We will likely go back.

The Perfect Resort
While a time share property, the staff were NOT pushy to make us hear the pitch. They asked once and we declined. The rooms were spacious and perfect my wife and two teens. We stayed with another couple and enjoyed meals together in the rooms. The staff was excellent including Dale and his stories of bear sightings on property! The location was within easy walking distance of the main strip in Gatlinburg. We will stay here again.
Yes, I recommend this property.

Holiday Inn Club Vacation Gatlinburg
Overall the unit we stayed in was very nice except for the sofa bed. The sofa bed was VERY uncomfortable. The matress was very thin and there was a large support bar right in the middle. Everything else was great and we hope to visit again this summer.
