Nice and confortable rooms

it was a nice place to stay, their staff was kind and willing to help. The hotel location was key to the conventions I was assisting.

Clean, Comfortable and close to the Strip

We have been coming to Las Vegas for 25+ years for vacations and we usually stay off the Strip where it is a bit more quiet. This time we elected to use my IHG points and stay closer to the Strip... points well spent ! The facilities are clean, the 1 bedroom suite we stayed in was much larger than similarly-priced rooms you will find on the Strip, and the full kitchen is ideal for anyone who wants to save some money by preparing their own meals. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook/serve simple meals. Although we don't cook while on vacation, the fridge was used for snacks, water and other 'essential' beverages... no need to fill up a cooler with ice every day :D We didn't try the on site restaurant (Gold Mine Bar and Grill), but the prices seemed reasonable - from the menu we had in our room. The Linq and High Roller are approximately a 6 minute walk from the security gate just off of Koval; we stayed in building 19 which is farther from the main entrance, so add another 5 minutes to your walk. The pools are open until midnight (we stayed in May), and we enjoyed having a couple of cold ones next to the pool after the sun went down. The only complaint we had during our stay was the first night we got to the hotel. We arrived just after 10:30PM and when we came to our room we heard kids at the pool screaming at the top of their lungs. Our room overlooked one of the pools and we saw 3 or 4 pre-teens playing loudly in the water. We realized that this had nothing to do with the Holiday Inn, but had everything to do with the 2 sets of parents who were at the pool supervising their unreasonably loud children... It doesn't matter where you go, there is always someone who thinks this behavior is 'cute'. Overall, our stay was quiet. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and well kept. It is walking distance to the Strip but far enough away to escape from the crowds and noise. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will definitely be staying at this location again. Cheers !!

Have the vacation of your dreams. Great suite of rooms, BBQ. Pool, Bus service to the strip. The staff is great! Lfe is good at the Desert Inn Vacation Resort.

THE PERFECT STAY

This was my first stay here at he Holiday Inn Club Vacations Desert Club Resort. I have to say I truly truly enjoyed my stay. My room was clean and fresh. From check in to check out the customer service was Great. The facility was beautiful. I had the thought hmmm I could live here. I will definitely be returning to this property in the near near future.

Good value poor service

The rooms are very nice and comfortable. Could be a very comfortable room for a family on an extended stay (as long as they bring food). I was here on business and upon arriving at my room after a long day I ordered a pizza to be delivered since there was no room service option and the food at the on-site restaurant is not good IMO. 30 minutes later the pizza delivery guy called me to say that he was at the front of the property because security wouldn't let him in. After the delay he already had, plus getting in my car and driving to the front, finding the pizza guy, and driving back to my room I had a cold pizza. When I asked security why my food could not be delivered they said "ask the front desk manager". When I spoke with the front desk manager he said "it is the head of security's decision". The morning of my last day, I was running late and called to request an extra hour on my check-out time. "Sorry, not available" was the answer I received. Every IHG hotel I've stayed in has provided better service than I experienced here. I do not plan to return to this location again.

Great Vegas stay!

Needed a quick night in vegas and had some points to burn. So worth it! Would pay for the room next stay!

Great facility and perfect location

The best part of this resort is how close it is to the strip but also how far it is from the strip. You can be part of the action with a 5 minute walk but you can also get away from the bustle with a 5 minute walk back. The pool area for each set of buildings is great as there was always enough lounge chairs and space in the pool. The full kitchen was very convenient as we did not need to wake up and then walk somewhere to find food. Our only issue was the pool area was not as clean as it could have been. I know it was spring and there was a lot of stuff blowing in off the trees but the actual pool also needed a good scrubbing.

Beautiful Resort with family atmosphere

The Las Vegas Desert Club Resort was an exceptional place to spend a week in Vegas. The resort itself is very beautiful, clean, comfortable and inviting. The room was very nice with a fully equipped kitchen and private patio. There are several pools, an onsite restaurant and small market. It's location to the Las Vegas Strip is perfect. Close enough to walk but far enough to be very quiet and secure. A shuttle is available if you don't want to walk, and the monorail station is also near by. All in all a very enjoyable vacation spot!
