Don’t Stay Here!!!
Upon check in we were lied to that an upgrade was not available. We had to move rooms four times and took four hours due to dirty rooms. My family had to wait outside for four hours. We finally got a room and the hotel refused to credit me anything back for the issues. I had to call IHG customer service the next morning and the front desk every day. No one calls back. Finally, Cheryl agreeded that everything was wrong that was going on and it could have been handled. She credited my first night back and offered me $50 to use on food or drinks. This should have been done at the beginning so we didn’t have to keep dealing with it everyday of our trip. Worst stay and vacation ever. Oh, and I don’t need a stupid comment posted below that you are sorry and that is not what y’all want the resort to be like. Fix your customer service, housekeeping, and management. I will say the security guy rocks! You all could learn something from him...

good room and bed, just not top notch as other CLUB places
Holiday inn club has set standards USA wide. Hill country location is not up to those standards yet. I’ve stayed at ambassador and presidential (both good). The villa I saw in 2018 was old(nasty couch, peeling table, and a roach). I stayed in bld 47, room 225 this year. It was cute and updated, but the maid should have reported these things before anyone got a key(numerous bugs flying in kitchen and bathroom, master bath didn’t drain properly, dishwasher had standing water, the refrigerator did not have a handle. I reported it and all was corrected. Good. (I just thought they would notice imperfections before handing a key out for the price we pay). Another thing that I didn’t report at that time is that 2 of my guests were locked in the guest bathroom for a bit. I did not see it myself but they said once you close the door there is no handle to grab to open it from the inside. That seems like an easy fix by installing some hardware. I just wanted you to know. The only time I used the facilities was on 6/8(sat) to get a drink from the bar and go to pool. The lady bartender had no personality and moved like a sloth. It took 15 minutes to get a drink when no one else was at the bar. She even spent more time trying to figure out how to open the umbrella. Maybe she does deserve a job somewhere with holiday inn club, but it is not at the bar. Get the right people in the right jobs. I am sorry to gripe, but truly I am just wanting to help. I love canyon lake and love all other clubs I have been to. The hill country will get there but just needs a little help. Thanks.

Great property. Easy access. Great parking. Good bedding and nice patio and pool areas. Perfect location. Needs Restrooms in the Registration area. It was pouring rain when we arrived. My friends asked where the restrooms were and they told them outside. They didn’t specify where outside. This was the only rude person we encountered. We will visit again. Need to add fans to the patio balcony areas. Texas is HOT most of the time! Privacy screen for patio balcony area so you are not starring at your neighbors. Overall a very nice property. We will return when it is cooler!

Nice spot in the Hill Country
We stayed only one night on our recent trip to Texas, but enjoyed the Hill Country Resort. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

Nice comfortable rooms but all down hill from there.
IHG 800 reservation number won't give you the best deal. Do it yourself on line or you will not get the best rate. I found the same room within minutes af making my reservation for 80$ cheaper than their suposed best rate. Check your credit card charges after check out. Mine was over charged. Dine out if you want a decent meal. The rooms were great clean and comfortable but that was the only positive we came away with.

From other reviews, I expected a high pressure sales pitch to buy a time share. Pitch turned out to be brief and relatively painless -- it concluded when I made clear we were not interested. Everything for our overnight stay was great, except that the small (heated) swimming pool was closed. (It appeared dirty.)

Nice rooms and amenities
We had a family getaway with 10 of us enjoying a 3 bedroom ambassador penthouse. Room was beautiful with updated appliances and 2 balconies. We had a great time and would definitely go back!
