The Royal Resorts Foundation supports children’s education, health, community and conservation causes and has a Help Change Lives fundraising campaign at the resort. Two dollars are charged to your account at check-out. This is a voluntary donation, so guests can ask for the charge to be removed or increased.

International visitors are charged a state government tourism tax, known as VISITAX, of approximately $224 pesos (USD $12.09) per person over the age of 15. This may be paid online before your trip, during your stay, or at the airport prior to departure. This tax is not charged at the resort, but we do inform our members and guests of its existence.

The Royal Haciendas offers a daily activity program for adults and teens. There is also a supervised Kids’ Club for children aged 4 to 12 years and a children’s playground. There are tennis courts, a multiuse sports court for basketball and soccer, pickleball courts, and a gym. The activity program includes everything from yoga, aqua aerobics, and keep fit classes to salsa, Spanish, cooking and cocktail classes, and beach volleyball.

There are bike tours, kayaks and snorkeling. Guests may also sign out snorkeling gear, tennis rackets and balls, and bicycles from the Sports Desk.
