nice pool on property

everything was great with the exception of the restaurants on the property. food quality is pretty low.

Beautifully updated rooms

The rooms have been nicely updated and pools are wonderful.

Be Aware

This hotel does not look like the pictures you see online. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation, then this place is for you. Be aware you will need to pay extra to use certain facilities, like lazy river. They make you pay, but they do not enforce it. If you don’t rent a rube, you can still grab a tube floating in the lazy river. Why did we have to pay when others did not? Not right. Also our kitchen had small black specs all over the counter. Bug poop we suspected, but did not see any in the room. When we went to breakfast on the last day, a HUGE cockroach ran across the booth we were sitting in. No one said anything. Did not even apologize. They took our name an number but no one called We were also supposed to have wine in our room for our 25th wedding anniversary, but nothing!

Stay at Orange Lake

Excellent stay. Everything was excellent. Wished there were more dishwashing liquid in unit. Loved the washer and dryer in unit. Restaurant was good excellent they couldn't grill a steak. Tried 2times.

It should be noted that this is a timeshare and you'll be pushed for something or another

The hotel and check in process was great. The hotel was clean, and lots to do with kids, especially having been there on a rainy weekend. With that said, fortunately for us it was raining and there was no access to the pool because it was never noted beforehand that there IS A CHARGE TO USE THE LAZY POOL. Once the check in process was completed, we were escorted to another desk at the lobby where the paper we were handed to with 'monopoly money' would be converted to discounts to purchase access to the lazy pool and additional services along with a tour of their facilities for the purpose of vacation sales. After having replied to the person (who was extremely nice, and I understand this is his job to do so, so I'm not upset at him just at the fact that I was not here for the purpose of a sale nor did I purchase something with the perception of having to do one) more than once, I had to kindly ask him to stop asking me. Other than that, the rooms were amazing, the arcade was big enough to entertain the kids in the rainy weather, and the food was also good.

Stay for a day getaway

We checked in for the night we stayed in the Villa I prefer the main building so that we can have the jacuzzi tubs but the Villa was definitely larger it was nice big cleaning ladies were the sweetest ever and very helpful at giving us like extra trash bags when we were packing up cuz I went out and bought too much food the room was ready when we arrived which was definitely a plus because I had groceries the tiki bar at the island River was phenomenal huge milkshake overall we had a blast and any time with my family is always a wonderful memory made thanks for helping me make that memory with my children

Disappointed!!

I have been an owner at Orange Lake for 16 years and have recently needed to make a reservation through Holiday Inn for our stay as my week could not be taken. Completely disappointed!! Every year it seems as though the overall cosmetics are worse. Rooms are extremely dated and dirty, common areas were filthy, trash etc. all around. The trash spills in the elevator were not cleaned up for at least 3 days. No Tees at the Pro shop to play golf with. We were told they were on backorder! Wasted our vacation time waiting for a tour that was overbooked and only agreed to because you were going to charge the $30 fee if we did not go! The morning of the appt. (8:30 on a Saturday of vacation) we received a phone call 15 minutes after the scheduled time stating they were sorry they overbooked because of a system glitch. It was my responsibility to visit the desk to make sure the fee was credited, another waste of my vacation time! In the past, we have always looked forward to our stays at Orange Lake; however, at this time I'm sorry to say this may have been our last.
