Great Stay

Stayed four nights visiting friends locally. Arrived 8:00pm and Jairo assisted us in checking in, no issues, answered all questions since this was our first time there. Received our $20 parking voucher and was prepared for the time share sales pitch. Elizabeth went over all details and opportunities , we politely said no thank you. She then offered additional discounts and rewards and again we said no thank you. She was very polite and accepted our answer and we were on our way in under 5 minutes, very professional. We stayed in a two bedroom villa in the East Village and it was immaculate. Clean, well stocked, very comfortable. The place is huge and we didn't use shuttle service because we did not use the amenities offered. Did have drinks at River City Grille one night, very nice with live music. I've read the many reviews and I must say I was skeptical but the entire stay was wonderful. Grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Just a great stay and I will be back and I will take the time share tour.

Disappointed overall

Be prepared for a lengthy check in process. We arrived at 4:10 with a 4:00 check in. 8 people were in line ahead of us at the front desk. 35 minutes in line to be checked in. Then to another counter for the sales people to try to get you to buy into their timeshare before you can get your parking pass which was another 8 minutes before she finally took no for an answer. So 43 minutes of waiting to be able to leave to get into our room. Room was big and comfortable. The pillows in the 2nd bedroom were all piled up on one end of one of the beds with no pillow cases on them. We looked all over the room and there were no pillow cases for us to put on. There was no toilet paper in the 2nd bathroom. The sofa and chair cushions were all out of their place. Every cupboard and cabinet door was left open. The windows and glass table tops were not clean. We found cheerios on the floor by the sofa. We called housekeeping and had to wait an hour before a gentleman showed up with a plastic bag with pillow cases and two rolls of toilet paper, handed them to me and left. Um ok aren't you supposed to put them on? 25 minutes later another knock on the door and it was 2 women with housekeeping there to put the cases on and hang a roll of toilet paper. Mind you we already did it. Handicapped parking is slim and is at the ends of the buildings not in the middle which would be shortest distance to the elevator. We went to dinner and when we returned at 9:00 PM all of the parking spaces at and nearest the buildings were full. I now see a charge of $8.95 which I am currently on hold to find out what that is for as we didn't order anything extra. I certainly expected better than this for the cost of the villa. And added an additional $8.95 which I am still on hold to find out what that is all about. Disappointed with my stay at this Holiday Inn.

My First Stay at Orange Lake

This is a great resort with friendly staff who personalizes your visit. When our room ran out of something it was replaced within10 minutes of letting the staff know. The resort is absolutely beautiful and makes you feel like you are on a tropical island in one sections and at a country cabin in another area.

These rooms are awesome

I Love traveling with a group of friends or family and this place is perfect for that. I so look forward to coming back here in my travels

Don’t believe the hype

This was one of the worst stays staff was busy holding a conversation with others so that would explain the problem on how they assign us a room that doesn’t exist Staff was very rude and lazy took 45 minutes for them to finally realize that the room they assigned wasn’t a number they even have to lazy to assist sends security who apparently they still didn’t believe so had us just wait No service in the room couldn’t get anyone to come clean room or make beds I wouldn’t recommend this to a stranger Everything to spread out definitely not for elders NOt kid friendly Remind me of a unattended nursing home

Comfortable family stay with great amenities for all ages

I’ve now stayed at the Orange Lake Resort 3 times. It is conveniently located (only a few miles from Disney) and has lots of activities for the family. The property is well maintained and the pools are immaculate. The 3 room villa I stayed in during my most recent visit was plenty big enough for a family of 5. The villa was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the view off the outside sitting area was beautiful. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a place to stay with their family. The only negative aspect about this location is the high pressure attempts to have you attend a welcoming reception where they try to sell you a timeshare. Some people may be interested in spending some of their vacation time at a sales pitch. I was not. I would whole heartedly give this resort an “excellent” rating, if not for the sales pitch.

Issues resolved

I was told and sent to the wrong location. No elevator on one side, missing remote. I am a Tv watcher and I needed that remote to turn on the tv, because it was late I was ignored. Then we I called back to make sure they were coming. Yes, in the morning. What!?!?! I can’t sleep without the Tv. So they brought it 3.5 hours later.
