Timeshare Experience
My family and I stayed for one night at the Holiday Inn Orange Resort as we were on a road trip and driving all around Florida. When we checked in to the hotel, the man said that we met the qualifications in attending a presentation on the resort. If we agree to attend the presentation then we will get 7 days of hotel stays for free. The next morning we found out it was a time share presentation and we went through filling out a survey and talking to a man introducing us to the IHG timeshare. After the talk and the show, he asked us if this is something we were interested. We didn't feel pressured and just indicate we were not. Later, a woman by the name of "Letty" came with him (which at that time we thought it was his manager and she was there to persuade us). After the introduction, the man left and Letty sat down with us. She informed us that unfortunately she is not able to give us the 7 days of hotel stays because we did not qualify. We got so upset because initially at checked-in, they said that we had qualify. She said that we only stayed for one night and that is why we can't get the 7 days of hotel. We asked to speak to the manager and she said she wasn't able to reach them. She said if we have any issues to go back to the front desk and speak to them. At that point, I was extremely upset. This felt like a total scam. We finish the presentation and after we said we weren't interested, she told us we weren't able to get the free gift. At the front desk, we mentioned what had happened and they said that what Letty said wasn't true and we were qualify to get the free gift. He mentioned that we met all the qualifications and attended the presentation, and staying for one night at the resort was not one of the qualify item. He told us to go back to the place where they did the presentation and get the free gift as he had placed a call to them. The overall resort is nice, but we felt deceived.

Great stay
Had a great time at the room and the pools. Sales pitch is a waste of time. Wait staff could have been more plentiful at the pools. Bar maids were ruin.

Nice Resort
We enjoyed our stay at the Orange Lake resort. The front desk staff was very informative and the staff who helps with setting up tickets, etc. was very helpful.

Nice Weather
A great vacation experience once you get past the high pressure sales pitch for ownership. Ridiculous to go through that just to get a parking pass.

Wonderful Experience
Had a wonderful time we will be back soon. Next time we will be able to stay longer to really enjoy the resort. Came to Orlando for Seaworld so we didnt get much time to spend at the resort.

Rooms are terrible
So initially seeing the property, it has a lot to offer. However, the room itself was less than desirable. We had a king room with a pullout sofa bed except when we pulled the sofa bed out for my 8 year old son, it had what looked like blood and urine on it, along with trash (see below photos). We immediately called to have it replaced and we were told an entirely new mattress would be delivered. We came back from dinner 2 hours later to find new sheets on top of the same stained mattress. We called again and by the time it was replaced (over 4 hours later), it was after 11:00 and we fell asleep waiting for them to return, and when they did return, they didn't bring clean sheets and told us we would need to contact housekeeping for that but that it was late so it may take a while as it is an "out of the ordinary" request. They never reached out to ensure the issue was resolved. I did talk to the front desk and told them how poorly it was handled, along with the fact that the milk we bought from the market was expired, and that we received a skunked beer at dinner that night (it was about 2 months past the sell by date)...she apologized and offered to reimburse me for the milk. Um, thanks?? To top it off, the room had a STRONG MUSTY/Stagnant AIR SMELL and everything in the room was damp...sheets and trowels always felt like they had moisture on them and a towel that was hung up never dried (probably why they aren't going green and encouraging guests to re-use towels). They only clean the room if you have been there more than 5 days and when we asked for more towels, they told us there was an additional charge. Are you kidding me?! We asked someone next door if their room was like that and they said it was so no use in trying to request a new room. I will say the property is nice and service in the restaurants and activity areas was great. Honestly, if they had done a better job of correcting our first issue, I might not be so salty but the pull out was disgusting and it is burned into my brain and they took way too long to correct it. And they seriously need to do something about the air conditioning or whatever is not removing the moisture from the rooms. That smell is aggressive.

We stayed for only 2 nights, but wish we were here a week!! Excellent everything! Super kids friendly!
