The resort was amazing so much to do at the resort and right on the strip 30 minutes to Universal or Disney lots of seafood yum.

Great vacation destination
Staff was great, grounds were very well maintained, villas are nice, lots to do on property, close to all the big parks. Our dishwasher did not work, but that’s not the end of the world.

You’ll want more time
Our stay was very short, but it was an amazing stay. Grounds, pool areas, buildings were all clean and well maintained. Our villa was perfect and had all the amenities we needed. Was our first time there and are now already planning the next trip back.

Suites are like going to a home away from home!
We love Orange Lake Resort. It is safe, comfortable, and extremely clean. The resort has everything you need and you do not even have to go off property. The restaurant food is very good with a diverse offering. The water options with pools and the lazy river are clean and plentiful. The staff is always available to help when needed or answer questions. Everything is so easy at the resort that it makes you not want to leave, but if you do the resort is centrally located to all Orlando parks and activities.

Orange Lake Redort! This was my second stay in 5 years with family of 10-13. Staff was very accommodating in getting us 2 villas together. Reasonable prices for food, drink and room. Internet could be much better.

Using points to stay results in worse units available being allocated
I have always been a big fan of the property and have stayed their over the years at least on 12 occasions. On my last 2 visits I have used reward points (Do the local management have any idea how much money I need to spend to earn enough points for a 7 day stay) earned through loyalty to the brand, I even have an IHG credit card. My preference, which I have communicated many times is to have a single story unit in the west village, when I pay this is what I get, when I use points as on both recent occasions I have been accommodated in the worse possible units. This visit I was part of a six block with the outlook of hedges on the very edge of the estate, on my previous visit I had a room with rain water running down the walls in the kitchen knocking out the power, the remedy was to run cables throughout the unit and ask me to be careful not to trip on them. I have now realised that being a SPIRE member gets ZERO recognition when it comes to room choice being provided. I got no follow up to my complaint, however I did receive several calls trying to get me on the Time share tour, even though I told them up front not to call me on this. As a SPIRE member this has left me with a bitter taste and as a result I will never book into any IHG property in the future.

Nothing special - people
Overall disappointed on this stay. We had many issues from not being allowed to do the Holiday Inn Club Promotion like we were told we were going to be able to and then problems getting in our room on 2 separate occurrence due to issues with the lock and not reading our card. We had to drive back to the office about 10 mins away late at night when all we wanted to do is get to bed. Not real happy with stay.
