Worst Holiday Inn Resort to date!!!!

There is so much wrong with this property!! It is old, The cabins are tiny and uncomfortable. The furniture is old and worn out. The kitchen is so small only one person at a time can be in there. You can’t open a cabinet and shut the fridge at the same time. If you open the dishwasher, you can’t open the cabinets. We had to rearrange the room and sit on ice chests to have meals together. The rocks in the fireplace kept falling out anytime we walked by and touched them with our foot. It was raining and the porch was so unlevel we had a lake outside our door. Bathrooms were tiny. Shower was old and tiny. The amenities were sooooo limited here!! Nothing like the others I have stayed at. I could go on and on about the problems we had. We made the most out of our trip for our grandkids sake, but we will never be staying at this resort again.

We had difficulty finding our villa. Confusing system of having a building number & villa number. An employee lead us to our villa in his resort van. It would be better to have building Q villa 65 then building 17 villa 65. He took us to villa 17 first. He was confused also with the building number villa number also.

Villas could use better maintenance and housekeeping.

1. Our villa had a broken shower floor which leaked water into the bathroom floor. 2. The jacuzzi tub was dirty and had strands of long hair in it. 3. The mattress was old and caved in the middle making for us having back pain. As it stands, my wife is in the ER at the moment due to back spasms currently a full week after we checked out. 4. Due to the thunderstorms, rain water seeped into the master bedroom and wet the carpet.

Piney Woods Cabin

All staff encountered were pleasant and helpful despite dealing with disruptions from a fire the day before. Check in was seamless. Activity center hostess was patient explaining the game room options. Pool attendant was personable and friendly and adeptly managed a group of guests complaining about having to wear wristbands! All facility buildings were spotlessly clean!

It was ok. Furniture needs updated

Tub jets were moldy and when I turned them on my water turned orange. Shower had no pressure. Toys left under the bed and my service dog found it.

Family time

Great space for large families. Always enjoy my time at the property.

I do NOT recommend

Place was very poorly presented. Cabin looked like a migrant camp, there was Walmart feet on the base of the tub, shower was small, I had to open the door to wash my legs. Toilet was one foot off the floor.

The villa was beautiful and cozy.

I felt like I was in the middle of the woods, it was very relaxing and beautiful. The interior of the villa was gorgeous, the fireplace in the living room gave off a cozy cabin feel. The bedrooms where amazing. I just loved that both rooms had a door that lead out to the back porch. I sat there every morning enjoying my coffee.

Great Stay during Wedding at Forever 5 Events

We reserved a room block at Piney Shores for my wedding. Although the rooms weren't near each other and I wouldn't recommend the "walking path" to Forever 5 Events, it proved to be a very convenient location for the wedding party and guests alike. Rosalyn went above and beyond to help us host a dinner in one of the banquet rooms the night before the wedding. Everything came together lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our time.
