Park Rules

Waterpark Rules/Disclaimers

The waterpark is open to the general public. However, Holiday Inn Club Vacations® Villages Resort at Lake Palestine owners receive priority entry if capacity is reached. On occasion, the park may need to close for routine maintenance, facility upgrades or private events. Operating dates may change without notice, but we will make every attempt to alert guests in advance.

For your safety, we ask that you review these rules and obey all posted signs, including the height requirements at the entrance to all rides and attractions.

  • Follow all instructions given by our lifeguards and attendants. Lifeguards are responsible for enforcing safety rules and responding to emergencies; therefore, it is the responsibility of parents or guardians to supervise their children while in the facility.
  • Children 16 years of age and younger must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian while in the park.
  • Wristbands must be worn at all times.
  • Appropriate swimwear is required. No athletic wear, cut-offs or other clothing not specifically designed as swimwear is allowed.
  • Swim diapers are required for children who are not toilet trained.
  • Personal conduct within the waterpark must ensure the safety of self and others. Diving, jumping and horseplay are not permitted.
  • Any person under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol will not be permitted in the waterpark.
  • No outside food and/or beverages are allowed. Glassware is prohibited.
  • Food and beverages purchased at the park are permitted in designated areas only.

Wristband Use

  1. Wristbands that have been tampered with in any way will only be replaced with proof of purchase (valid receipt) and at the guest’s expense.
  2. Wristband replacement will only be performed for a fee of $12.50 with proof of purchase (valid receipt). Please note: additional entrance fees may apply.
  3. Wristbands must be placed on the right wrist of every guest.

Body Slide Rules

  1. Children under 42 inches tall are not permitted on this ride.
  2. Maximum operational load 1 person, 300 lbs.
  3. Eyeglasses must be securely affixed to riders with head straps.
  4. Swimwear with exposed zippers, buckles, rivets or metal ornamentation are not permitted.
  5. Only one rider to enter the flume at a time. Single riders only!
  6. Slide must be ridden feet first lying on your back with legs firmly crossed at ankles and arms folded across the chest to prevent elbows contacting the flume.
  7. Never form chains
  8. Riders must wait for the lifeguard’s start signal before starting the ride.
  9. Do not uncross your legs or attempt to sit up until you come to a stop in the shutdown lane
  10. Do not run, dive, stand, kneel, rotate or stop in the slide.
  11. At the end of the slide, obey all instructions by shut down lane attendant and exit quickly.

CAUTION: For safety reasons, pregnant women and persons with heart conditions or back trouble should not ride this slide.

Lazy River Rules

  1. ONLY WATERPARK APPROVED FLOTATION DEVICES are permitted in the Lazy River.
  2. Children less than forty-two inches (42”) tall must be accompanied by an adult and must be wearing an approved flotation device while in the Lazy River.
  3. Climbing, standing, walking or crossing the river island is not permitted.
  4. Diving, jumping, and horseplay are not permitted in the Lazy River.
  5. Blue Tubes are NOT permitted in the Lazy River.
  6. Obey all instructions given by the lifeguards and attendants.
  7. Swimwear with exposed zippers, buckles, rivets, or metal ornamentation are not permitted.
  8. Forming chains with tubes is NOT permitted.

Slides Waterplay Area Rules

  1. Children under 32 inches tall are not permitted on this ride.
  2. Maximum operational load 1 person, 200 lbs.
  3. Eyeglasses must be securely affixed to riders with head straps.
  4. Swimwear with exposed zippers, buckles, rivets or metal ornamentation are not permitted.
  5. Only one rider to enter the flume at a time. Single riders only!
  6. Slide must be ridden feet first lying on your back with legs firmly crossed at ankles and arms folded across the chest to prevent elbows contacting the flume.
  7. Never form chains
  8. Riders must wait for the lifeguard’s start signal before starting the ride.
  9. Do not uncross your legs or attempt to sit up until you come to a stop in the shutdown lane
  10. Do not run, dive, stand, kneel, rotate or stop in the slide.

Tube Slide Rules

  1. Children under 48 inches tall are not permitted on this ride
  2. Maximum operational load 2 persons, 400 lbs or 182 kg.
  3. Riders must wait for the attendants start signal before starting the ride.
  4. Riders must stay on the tubes during the ride. If you accidentally fall from the tube continue on down the flume without it and exit normally.
  5. Keep arms and hands inside the flumes at all times.
  6. Do not run, dive, stand, kneel, rotate or stop in the slide.
  7. Tubes should be ridden in a seated position, facing forward.
  8. Eyeglasses must be securely affixed to riders with head straps.
  9. Swimwear with exposed zippers, buckles, rivets, or metal ornamentation are not permitted.
  10. Only one inner tube to enter flume at a time.
  11. Never form a chain.
  12. At the end of the slide, obey all instructions by the splash pool lifeguard and exit quickly, taking your tube with you.

CAUTION: For safety reasons, pregnant women and persons with heart conditions or back trouble should not ride this slide.

Waterplay Area Rules

  1. Children 6 and under must be supervised by an adult at all times.
  2. Children under 42 inches are required to have a life jacket on Slides in the Aquaplay.
  3. Running, jumping and horseplay on or around the water play area is prohibited.
  4. Hanging or swinging on pull ropes is prohibited.
  5. Only one rider is permitted on slide at a time, wait until slide is clear before entering.
  6. Standing, rotating, stopping or tumbling in the slides is prohibited.
  7. Forming chains on slides is prohibited.
  8. Feet first on all play area slides.

Wave Pool Rules

  1. ONLY WATERPARK APPROVED FLOTATION DEVICES are permitted in the wave pool.
  2. Children under 48” tall must be accompanied by an adult and must be wearing an approved flotation device while in the wave pool.
  3. Diving, jumping and horseplay are not permitted in the wave pool.
