Experience

Although this place qould be the perfect getaway, it is the main place that give presentations to buy in allowing all types of people to come especially the disrespectful people who only come because it's free and are trashy, leaving other guests disgusted

No, I do not recommend this property.

Decent hotel but could use improvements

I ended up staying here a total of 5 night split into 2 stays. The first experience was a bit better than the second. Overall the hotel has a nice small apartment vibe with mist thing you could need in a kitchen. They could offer more a better quality towels. The bed is hard and uncomfortable, as I stay in hotels about 300 days a year; I am very clear that they could do better. I do like that they offer real eggs for breakfast but they did not have any keto or completely processed food free options. They did not offer breakfast tea, earl grey or green teas in the rooms. They do offer cart ride to and from your villa when you request to the front. It would be nice if they had a pool are with hot tub for strictly adults, kids are great but to be able to relax would be a key point for those visiting with out family.

Yes, I recommend this property.

Home away from home

It was home away from home honestly and all the staff were amazing with our stay... My only push back would be hooking up a game right to keep the kids busy and being able to smoke on the balcony I mean it's outside

My first time experience at Las Vegas

I am a Diamond Elite member of the IHG team & a keen observer on the service rendered by the respective departments of an IHG property. I am going to take the example of three personnel from three different departments. 1. Ms. CHANDRA from the Front desk - Excellent service in terms of the attitude, knowledge in advising as i was a first timer to Las Vegas & more important an excellent Ambassador. She gave me an excellent room that stood us well for the stay. 2.Mr. GARY from the concierge.I can safely say that GARY had the WORST attitudes I have seen from a concierge personnel since joining IHG Rewards program in 2007. He was outright rude.As my room was on the first floor & no elevators in the property,he reluctantly agreed to carry the luggage but expected me to share the burden.I would have carried had it not been for my injured back & infact I showed him my lumbar belt. His response to my statement that I could not carry the luggage due to my injury was "if you say so & how did you pull the luggage from the baggage carrousel at the airport "in the most SARCASTIC way possible.GARY's attitude ,impolite & rude behavior was indeed a bad start to my stay. By the way,his colleague Mr.Ed was the opposite to Gary who helped us during the check out. 3. Mr.RICHARD from Engineering team who was extremely helpful in giving my family detailed instruction on using the equipments in the room.He was very patient & caring. Thanks Richard. Kudos to Chandra,Richard,Ed. Dear Management team of Holiday Inn Las Vegas Desert Club Rose, I am not sure whether my family & I were singled out by Mr.Gary but the ARROGANT treatment meted out by him to us was unwarranted despite no provocation from my side.

Excellent location. Full kitchen. Not perfect.

I had a mixed experience here. Pros: Location is great. Walking distance to many things. If you want a non casino experience, close to the strip, this is ideal. Very clean. Pullout couch bed was amongst the thicker more comfortable ones I've seen at a hotel. Having a full kitchen was ideal. It's stocked well enough for simple meals. The tanning shelf in the splash pool was great. Parking right next to your room is so much better than casino experience. You can text front desk which makes it easy to fix issues. Cons: - You will be harassed to join their timeshare presentation for various incentives. They are not extremely pushy, but they'll try multiple times. If you are clear about disinterest, they'll leave you alone. - It's summer, but TWO of the pools are closed for refurbishment. Not great timing. That meant the other pools were PACKED and there isn't enough shade. They have a couple of umbrellas at each pool, but there should be like four times the number of umbrellas at each. - The main pool was not clean. So much trash around the pool area and various leaves and stuff in the main pool. Needed skimming badly. - Staff doesn't come out to monitor pools enough. People leave things on tables and chairs and stuff to claim them and stuff stays all day, some of it obviously just left behind and forgotten, so chairs are limited for no reason. - It takes a long time for maintenance to come for things. Our bathtub stopper wasn't working. Took 4 hours to get it fixed. They leave a card in the room saying you get certain basic supplies. We didn't get all of those things so I asked for what we were missing. A bag was eventually delivered, but it did not have a sponge, which I asked for. We never got a sponge, so doing dishes was challenging.

Bad Check-in Experience

Overall, the location was good as it was right next to the Sphere. However, the check-in process took a very long time and there was a mix-up on our room, which required us to go back through a long check-in line a second time. Not acceptable. … When we checked in at 2pm, we were told that our room was not ready yet. We received a text from the front desk telling us this point. Then we were told we needed to go across the hall to enable our proximity keys to access our room. This is when we were forced to talk to the timeshare sales person. We were only in town for 2 days and didn’t want to spend our time in another meeting, so we politely declined the invitation. We then went to the restaurant to have a few beverages and wait for our room to get ready… At 4pm at check-in time, I texted the front desk asking why we hadn’t been notified via text that our room was ready. At this point, someone (Aliana), texted us to let me know that they tried to call me (a lie - as they had my valid phone # and could have texted me), but our original room was out of service for repairs, so we could not stay there. She informed us that we needed to go back through the check in line to get a new set of keys. It just so happened that the new location was completely at the back of the property which we had to walk several times in 100 heat. This entire process was a negative experience. Whenever anyone asks me if we enjoyed our stay at this location, I tell people not to stay here unless you want to get hassled about buying a timeshare or go to the meeting or get moved. BTW, I paid for my stay. I also picked this location because it was an IHG location.

Nice on the outside but careful what's inside

I stayed here a few weeks ago and it was convenient to places we wanted to go to on the strip and right next to the sphere. The pool was very nice ( at this time one of the pools was closed)!! The Villa that we were in the tub in the bathroom was not very safe, the drain plug was just sitting on the drain and there was a huge hump in the middle where you would stand to shower and also looked dirt stained.. ewww. I recently had an injury and found myself holding on to the side wall to help me from falling over . A day before we were to check out I heard something in the bathroom and went to check and it was the BIGGEST COCKROACH I have ever seen ( and I have seen flying palmetto bugs in florida) this dude was fast and scared the crap out of me ! after that it was hard to go to sleep wondering there were anymore that were going to make an appearance. I also saw little black bugs a few times throughout the stay. when I checked out I did let the lady know who was checking me out and didn't seem to concerned. I thought for sure someone would reach out but no one has. I will say I will not be back after that stay .. its a one and done for us ! Next time we visit Vegas this Holiday Inn will not be an option.

Much, much better than some reviews say

I may not be able to put into words how much we enjoyed the property. We had three kids with us, two teenagers, and a nine year-old, and two adults. Everything we needed was there. Most of the pools were open and working, the other two were being updated. The activity center had plenty of fun things to do on the 108° days we were there. The kindness of the staff, the responsiveness, all top-notch. One driver said to us “once you get on property, we got you” we seriously felt that way. We used Uber and Lyft to get us around Las Vegas, that seemed to work really well, but even if we had a car, we would’ve brought it because parking was provided and free at this hotel. We had an event at the sphere, it was truly in walking distance out the back of the property, near building 17. That alone was worth it. Full kitchen, two amazing big bathrooms, including tubs, lots of space, comfortable beds. No problem with temperature control once we figured out the system. We made several calls to the front desk for random things, everything was answered promptly and taken care of. We WILL not hesitate to return or recommend this location.

Yes, I recommend this property.
