Beautiful room and beautiful property!

Loved our stay at the Holiday Inn Vacation Resort Lake Tahoe! The property was wonderful, and the view from our room was incredible! We will be back!

Nothing positive to say

This place is old. It needs updating. This is the worst stay experience we have ever had anywhere. We were misled in the accommodation when we made the reservation, the room lacked basics. The curtains had holes in them! The room was dusty but not vacuumed well.

Pleasant Surprise

I have never stayed here and as we live in Sacramento we often do day trips to South Lake Tahoe because the hotels are often over priced for what you end up getting. I did want to try The Ridge as it had shown up repeatedly on my searches and decided to try it out this spring break. My kids and I were very pleased as it is only a 15 min drive to Heavenly Village and is also very close to Genoa NV which is always fun to visit. Check in went smoothly and we were able to have our room moved closer to the lodge which was very nice. We also had a newly remodeled room which was spacious and clean with a kitchen that was very comfortable to cook in. Breakfast was decent and my kids enjoyed the amenities. The fact that the jacuzzis in our building were not open for use, as we had expected, due to maintenance was a bit of a disappointment.

Amazing stay

One of the best places we ever stayed at. Breathtaking views, a true home away from home. Villa came fully stocked up, rooms were clean and the views were hard to turn away from. A stay to remember!

Get a way

I would definitely come back. But the maid service needs to learn how no to force people out before check out time. They did it 2 time before 9 am. But everything else was great and didn’t have a chance to try the food

Check which building you going to be in, especially during a snow storm

We were placed in the Ridgecrest building, which has no covered parking and parking area does not appear to be regularly cleared of snow. If it's snowing, you will need to make sure you bring a good shovel to self dig out. Wish we knew that ahead of time. In addition, the Ridgecrest building is far from the main buildings and requires a shuttle to go between.

Great lake view unit, wonderful service!

Wonderful stay. Staff was knowledgeable and helpful. Ron in Engineering was prompt and professional fixing the fireplace. Enjoyed the stay 100%. The TV was great to watch the Big Game on. I did not use the Bistro, but the menu looked great!

An outdated resort in a gorgeous location

Cannot be better located for skiers. You could get a gorgeous view on the valley or being facing the hill! Furnitures are out dated.

Do not stay at Ridge Tahoe until Resort Improved

This is used to be a great spot for ski-in-ski-out Heavenly. It was never a 5 star resort, but it was clean and well maintained. HIVC bought the resort and has allowed it to fall into complete disrepair. Broken appliances and facilities, dirty common areas, and on and on. It is awful. If IHG can save a penny, they’ve made the decision to do so and pretty much destroy a place that used to be great for skiing. Sad and disappointed to say the least

bad experience poor service

During my stay, many services are not available, not as described in the hotel website. I used points to book the room, should not have any additional charge, but my credit card was charged for unknown reason; email few time to the hotel <reservation@holidayinnclub.com> asking to provide bill statement, but no respond at all; plan to dispute it.
