Every time we go to sleep the night after I get done eating

Upon arrival tne resort appeared closed , the property wasn't fully occupied which was weird because upon booking last minute it showed the 2bdrm we wanted that they had only 2 available. The restaurant menu was inaccurate we had to eat off-site, breakfast wasn't served on the weekday. Mainly the best time to be onsite was during the weekend but it's overcrowded due to the locals and public coming onsite to the resort. We had to book last minute due to work related issues and was referred by another individual to book. When researching the first page on tbe website, it didn't state that horse riding wagon rides and water parks were closed which I think should be mentioned. The room however was absolutely fabulous and spacious . The price was great value. The pool was full of bugs and debris. Tne volleyball sand area had trash . The playground space for kids is made out of wood that needs replacing because splinters will be caught in your skin.

Dated rooms & Mold in the shower

Dated villa smelled musty inside. Shower stall had mold. Carpet in master bath was wet. Door locks didn't function properly and had to be replaced.

Affordable Resort stay close to DFW metroplex with good 1 bedroom options for a relaxing stay in nature.

Located close to the DFW metroplex which is a good option for a quick getaway. The atmosphere is very pleasing with great outdoor stay options. Very affordable price for having a 1 bedroom with up to 6 sleeping capacity. Nice cabin-style rooms clustered in different groups to fit multiple families together and still provide privacy from other guests. Good activity center amenities for kids to stay busy. Lots of daily activities. There is a water park on the premises which has a separate charge to use. They don't disclose that during booking thinking we get that as an amenity while staying on the property, but that's not the case. We had to pay extra to use the water park and it gets expensive for the bigger group if you don't consider or plan well in advance. The rooms are very old and need a good renovation, especially the bathrooms. they don't give you a feel of staying at a prestigious Holiday Inn Resort at all. The rooms didn't smell good too and had to keep them open for a while in cold weather to let the fresh air clear the suffocating strong smell in the room at check-in.

rooms overall were nice. bathroom was nice great size walk-in shower. I will say the smell of the cabin when I first arrived was so bad I had to leave and got buy air freshener to help with the smell.

Great location

Location was great. We were able to walk the grounds to the lake, spend time at the lake with the marina, or play games at the activity center. It does require driving to get from one area to the other, but it is a short distance, and easy to plan around.

Some of the best accommodations! Friendly, wonderful customer service! One of the best stays thus far since we've been coming! We love it! ️

Great place for families

The rooms have lots of beds and space for a family, with a full kitchen. There are multiple options for eating at the resort and lots of activities with an updated calendar of events for the week you are visiting. The pool and water features are also a super fun addition.

Very clean and friendly staff

We had a great time and really enjoyed the water park. Everything was very clean, the staff was extremely friendly over all a great experience. This was our second stay and we will definitely be back again.

Ok stay.

Overall rooms are ok. I'm not happy with the way the bathroom is set up in the master bedroom. There's no privacy the jacuzzi and the toilet are right there pretty much next to the bed. They didn't have any of the games or activities going on. The place was not at all decorated for the jolly days. Looking for another place to go spend the winter break after this. It's sad because we really enjoyed staying there.
